
Jim Farley, a Ford company official, said the company plans to launch a network of auto-driving, which will operate on a large scale by 2021, as the company launched its last Test model in Miami, so that it can expand further in the coming period.
Farley also asserted that the cars would be a service run by Ford itself, although the company had partnerships on auto-driving with companies like Lyft, they intend to "own a fleet of cars dedicated to their own services, which is somewhat like the Renault-April car.
The company's efforts are focused on passenger transport services, as the company's leadership has repeatedly spoken of a willingness to decline car ownership, this means a shift towards services such as on-demand passenger trucks, instead of private car sales.
